Description
At low temperatures, the dynamics of glasses suffer a dramatic slowing down. The system becomes trapped in metastable configurations, which are rarely abandoned, through a process called activation. Trap models, that describe the motion between different traps, provide a simplified framework to understand activated dynamics. Even though signs of trap-like behavior were found in realistic models, it is not clear (i) whether the most used models of glasses exhibit pure trap dynamics, (ii) to what extent the trap description applies to other glasses and (iii) which are the relevant features for this dynamics to be found. We show that the trap description does apply to other glassy models...
