On the Renaissance of Nuclear Fission

by Prof. Werner Tornow (Duke University)

Monday, 5 March 2018 from to (Europe/Rome)
at aula 250
The experimental study of nuclear fission has experienced quite a remarkable renaissance. The driving forces are related to stockpile science, nuclear energy, nuclear forensics, reactor neutrino anomalies, and benchmark data needed for microscopic fission models. This talk will focus on some recent achievements in experimental fission studies with mono-energetic neutron and photon beams.
