Description
I will discuss some aspects of the possible state with mass of 750 GeV decaying into two photons reported by ATLAS and CMS in LHC collisions at 13 TeV and attempt some interpretations in terms of new physics. I will show that even minimal scenarios for the resonance require additional new particles with masses in the TeV range. I will then discuss the perspectives that this possibility would open for high-energy collider physics.
