Description
We will start by describing how the LHC data can lead to new insights in the proton structure in
terms of Quantum Chromodynamics. The second part of the talk will be dedicated to photon induced
processes that lead to unprecedented precision on quartic anomalous couplings at the
LHC which are sensitive, for instance, to extra-dimensions in the universe or Axion-like
particles. We will finish by briefly describing the detectors developed for this physics and in
particular the fast timing detectors developed at the University of Kansas.
