Description
A heavy photon portal to Dark Matter is under investigation in accelerator-based experiments. These heavy photons are a natural component of Dark Matter and allow us to explain a number of recent intriguing observations in astrophysics. An overview of existing data and ongoing/proposed experiments at electron beam facilities will be presented. I will also outline a newly developed proposal to search for a heavy photon using a positron beam and a hydrogen target. That experiment will search for a bump in the mass range of 7-15 MeV in the missing mass spectrum of the electron-positron annihilation into one photon plus missing particle. A possible e+e- beams collider for a low cm mass range using a sliding beam scheme will be discussed.
