Diffractive hadroproduction of electroweak vector bosons at the LHC

I analyse diffractive weak boson production in $pp$ and $p\bar{p}$ collisions and show that the $W$ boson production asymmetry is a particularly good observable to extract details of parton distributions in the proton.
