In these lectures we will review the phenomenology of and searches for viable dark matter candidates in hadron colliders focusing on supersymmetric scenarios. An introduction on the production mechanisms and decays of the relevant states will be given. It will be followed by the results of selected search channels at the Tevatron to-date as well as the preparation for the searches at the Large Hadron Collider. We will discuss the startup strategies and channels for discoveries and model discrimination and the followup work on the characterization of possible excesses towards pinning down the fundamental theory behind the observations. We will discuss also the connections and synergies with observational cosmology and astrophysics.
