Super-cool Dark Matter

Description
I will discuss a novel mechanism to generate the dark matter relic density in the early Universe. This generically takes place in classically scale invariant theories, where mass terms are dominantly generated by radiative corrections, potentially related to the solution of the hierarchy problem. In these theories, the Universe can undergo a period of super-cooling, during which the dark-matter number density gets suppressed and the observed relic density is typically achieved for TeV-scale dark matter. The analogous numerical coincidence for thermal freeze-out is usually advertised as the "WIMP miracle".
